Walter Rea
Nash
Jul 1, 1950 — Feb 5, 2025
Marianna
Walter Rea Nash was a native of Gill, Arkansas. She was born July 1st, 1950 to the late Theressa Hill and William Harrison Hill Sr. She attended Anna Strong High School. Rea accepted Christ at an early age at the Mt. Gillian Missionary Baptist under the pastorate of Rev. Smith in Gill, Arkansas.
From her young adult years Rea loved rode trips. And was not afraid to pack up and settle in a new city. For years she lived in Gary, Indiana, Little Rock, Arkansas and Detroit, Michigan, where she dabbled in retail as an occupation. Finally moving back to Marianna, to be close to her mother.
Rea loved her children and grandchildren. They were the joy of her life and her purpose for getting up every day. And she had no problem getting you right together if you said something or looked at them wrong.
Rea was tired and God knew this. She departed from time and transitioned to eternity on February 5th, 2025.
Walter Rea had a Mother, Theressa Hill, Father, William Harrison Hill Sr., five brothers Jessie Lee Meredith, Cartrell Hill, Silmon Lee Hill, William Harrison Hill Jr., Clarence Apple Taylor, one sister Clifford Jean Hill, to precede her in death.
With loving memories of her life Walter Rea leaves to cherish 2 sons, Derrick Dewayne Hill (Talecia), Edward Eugene Hill (Carla), Theressa Laveda Nash and Kanawha Roshell Nash-Smith (Andre). One God daughter, Kayla Whitaker, Five sisters, Dimple Mae Fears, Annie Mae Maxwell, Minnie Delorise Sullivan, Betty Joe Hill and Connie Hill.
