Brother Robert Lee Ellis, Sr., son of the late Birdie Mae Ellis and Earnest G. Ellis, was born in Marianna, AR on March 13, 1967. Robert departed this life on August 28, 2025.

Brother Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Birdie and Earnest Ellis; his grandmother, Rebecca Nelson; three uncles, Johnny Tillman, Oliver Nelson and Leon Harris and two very close family friends, Mrs. Carrie Tucker and Marcus Patton, Sr.

Brother Robert was a member of Lee Senior High School class of 1985. He received his GED through Job Corp in Little Rock, AR. In 1986 he enlisted into the Army National Guard out of Marianna and served until 1994 in Conway, AR.

Brother Robert was very competitive and a hard worker. He was employed at Campbell Soup and Tyson Chicken in Fayetteville, AR and Virco in Conway, AR. He loved music, rapping and dancing.

Brother Robert professed his faith in Christ at an early age and united with Pilgrim Baptist Church in Marianna, AR. He was united in holy matrimony with RuQunda Patton from 1988 until 2003 and they had three children.

Brother Robert leaves to cherish his loving memories, two daughters, Robyn Ellis and Rushunda Ellis; one son, Robert L. Ellis, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Troy Nelson of Marianna, AR and Kevin Ellis of Conway, AR; three sisters, Freda Russell of Rondo, AR, Lisa Ellis-Hall of Jonesboro, AR and Katherine Thomas of Fayetteville, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, very close relatives and friends.
