God smiled on the family of the late Joyce Carlton Davis. She was born March 25, 1949 to the late Milton (Tea) Carlton and Nettie Chaney Carlton. She was one of seven children with five proceeded her in death. She grew up in Aubrey, AR where she confessed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend L. A. Stevenson at Antioch Baptist Church.

Joyce never met a stranger. She lite up every space she was in, with her infectious laugh, kindness and compassionate spirit. When she was around laughter and a good time would be had by all. She enjoyed crafts, eating, garage sales and the blues.

In 1968 she married the late Alvin Davis and to this union one son was born. Another son (Kashon Williams) was born who has proceeded her in death.  She leaves to cherish her memory, Alvin Lamont Davis of Brickeys, AR; one sister Gloria C. Jones (Raymond) of Little Rock, AR, one sister-in-law Flozell Carlton of Aubrey, AR, eighteen nieces/nephews, a host of great nieces/nephews along with countless relatives and friends.
