John Garrett was born on January 31, 1961, to Johnie Mae Garrett and John Willie Garrett. John accepted God in his life at an early age. He always worked hard to provide for his family.

John departed this life on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

John was preceded in death by both his parents, Johnie Mae Garrett and John Willie Garrett, Sr. and his brother, Willie Cutler, Jr.

John's memory will be cherished by his children, Jennifer Garrett of Memphis, TN, Kristy Cotton of Virginia, John (Tiffany) Steverson of Forrest City, AR and Gary Garrett of Memphis, TN; his special love, Annie Steverson of Marianna, AR; four brothers, Jesse (Alice) Garrett, J.D. (Cherry) Davis, Sr., James (Audrey) Garrett and Will Garrett all of Marianna, AR; three sisters, Lillie Mae Garrett of Marianna, AR, Christina Garrett of Conway, AR and Florence McDonald of Jonesboro, AR; grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We love you Dad with all of our hearts. We shall never be apart. Our love for you is a bond that can never be broken. Our memories of you are like pictures in a frame. We know that we will see you again but until then we will keep smiling and holding our heads raised high. Dad, we love and miss you.
