James
Flenoy
Dec 22, 1964 — May 17, 2023
marianna
James Edward Flenoy was born to Roland Flenoy and Mattie-Mae Flenoy in Marianna, Arkansas. He departed this life May 17, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. He was the 12th child of 13 children (3 girls and 10 boys).
As a young boy, James gave his life to Christ at Mt. City Missionary Baptist Church in Felton, Arkansas. In 1984, he graduated from Lee Senior High School. He spent many years working on Felton Farms working the fields and driving grain trucks. He moved on to work many years with Lee County School District. He also did carpentry work on the side of his full-time job. His years of working spanned over 39 years, before his health begin to deteriorate in 2021.
He loved spending time with his siblings, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and watching the football and basketball games on tv. If you seen him out or around town you likely never seen him without a hat on his head. He was a very laid-back, simple guy, who would do anything he could for others.

He leaves to cherish his memories one son Corinthian Hicks of Dallas, Texas; three daughters Jeanetta Pruitt of Little Rock, Arkansas, Forsythia Brooks (Atiba Brooks) of Searcy, Arkansas, Latoya Pruitt of Searcy, Arkansas; one sister Ruby Outley (Tommie Outley); six brothers Calvin Flenoy, Terry Flenoy, Larry Flenoy (Barbara Flenoy), Billy Flenoy, Robert Flenoy and Vernell Flenoy; 6 grandchildren Elijah Brooks, Messiah Brooks, Lela Brooks, Jordynn Bumpers, Koree Pruitt, Devyn Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
