On February 10th, 2023,  God sent an angel down from heaven and gave Geneva her wings.  She was born July 6, 1930 in Wooster, Arkansas to Ben Berry Halcrombe and Beatrice Hopkins.  She attended elementary and high school in Marianna, and on October 4, 1950 she wed Hosea Robinson.  Geneva worked as a professional seamstress at Bobbie Brooks Apparel in West Helena from the 1950's until her retirement in 1992.  She professed faith in Christ at a young age, later joining Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Marianna, where she was a member for over sixty years and managed the benevolence fund.  She had a great fondness for the Blues, in particular B.B. King and Howlin' Wolf, and was well-known and respected in the community.

Geneva is survived by sons Ronald Robinson, Dearld R. Robinson, and Michael W. (Ramona) Robinson; daughters Betty L. (JC) Moore, Alma L. (Jeffrey) Wray, Barbara R. Robinson, Dawna K. (Gregory) Louis, Rita R. Robinson and Patricia L. (David) Leigh; brothers William Terry Halcrombe and Jerry L. Halcrombe; sisters Annie M. Wardlow and Cora M. Alexander.  She is mourned by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as caretaker Mrs. Joann Wright.  She is preceded in death by her mother Beatrice McFadden; father Ben Berry Halcrombe; uncle John Byrd and aunt Lucille Brown; sisters Sarah L. Halcrombe, Bennie L. Maxfield, Altha A. Fowler, and Mary L. Strickland; husband Hosea Robinson; daughter Cheryl A. Robinson; son James C. Campbell; and dear friend and partner in crime Mrs. Emma Smith.
