Celebrating The Life of Christine Marie Hamilton
Christine Marie Hamilton passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in
West Memphis, Arkansas on Tuesday March 28, 2023. Christine was a
loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, aunt,
and friend.
Christine was born September 8, 1964 to the late Virlee Holland
Hamilton and Bobby Lee Hamilton Sr in Forrest City, Arkansas. She
accepted Christ at an early age at El Cannon Missionary Baptist
Church in Palestine, Arkansas. Christine graduated from Palestine
High School in May of 1983. After high school, Christine went on to
work at Dixie Foods and a host of other jobs, where she wore many
hats in labor, hospitality, and many manufacturing jobs. She loved
working and worked until she fell ill. After her illness, she spent the
rest of her life watching her grandchildren grow up. She loved
spending time with her family and her family loved spending time with
her.
Preceding her in death were her mom Virlee Holland Hamilton, dadBobby Lee Hamilton Sr, three brothers- James Holland, Lloyd Lee
Hamilton, and Dwight Hamilton Sr. and two sisters- Barbara Joyce
Holland Thomas and Teresa Hamilton.
Christine leaves to cherish her loving memories to her caring and
loving stepmother Rosie Hamilton of Forrest City, Arkansas; her
loving children- Laquisha (Andre) Hamilton of West Memphis,
Arkansas and Darius Hamilton of Topeka, Kansas; Five brothersBobby (Anita) Hamilton Jr of Widener, Arkansas, Percy (Beverly)
Hamilton of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Terry (Tasha) Hamilton, John
(Lorraine) Graham, and Courtney Hamilton all of Forrest City,
Arkansas.; Five sisters- Dianna Hamilton of Garland, Texas, Renea
(Dewayne) Lockhart of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Deborah (John)
Anderson and Chasity Hamilton of Forrest City, Arkansas, and Jackie
Graham of West Memphis, Arkansas.; nine grandchildren, one
surviving aunt (Bertha Askew) of Kansas City, Missouri and one
surviving uncle (Eddie Hamilton) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; A host of
nephews, nieces (including her special nieces Danielle Hamilton of
Garland, Texas and Crystal Hamilton of Sherwood, Arkansas),
cousins, friends (including her special friend Doris Beasley of Forrest
City) and one god daughter, Erika Jones of West Memphis, Arkansas.
She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
